Maca is a plant that is native to Andes in Peru. The plant is usually found at elevations of 4000 to 4,500 meters above the sea level. Even those with reddish roots are being studied, as they are claimed to be effective for reducing prostate size. Maca roots have been used through the centuries, as a rejuvenating herb and an aphrodisiac.
